2021 defensively was horrible. Look at the stats. Offense was historic great.
That year byu was the 6th most efficient offense in the country. They did incredibly well. Making up for a defense that has basically garbage.
The offense consistently bailed out bad defensive performances.
The next year, 2022, the offense was like 33rd in efficiency, and look what happened to the W/L that year.
Tuiaki should have been fired in 2017. 2020 we played a sun belt conference and the offense scored so many points that teams were trying to play catch up the whole game and were one dimensional. It was fools gold defense.
As soon as we returned to playing a normal schedule Tuiaki returned to being hot garbage.
Kalani owes this success to Hill.

He didn’t deserve for people to forget 2020 and 2021, but this season is proving those seasons weren’t a mirage.
