European soccer fans though are a different breed than College fans football or basketball. College fans have a student section, European soccer fans have a section for Ultras. The rivalries in Europe run a lot deeper than college rivalries. Celtic and Rangers is an actual holy war, Barcelona and Real Madrid, Barcelona is in Catalonia and Real Madrid back in the day had ties to Franco who was killing Catalonians during the Spanish Civil War.
