What you say is sometimes true, but in general there's at least a contractual obligation. The coach will finish out their contract or be bought out. With the players though it's the complete wild west. Coaches can't change schools at the pace players do..

I get it that the players should be compensated, but I also think fans are going to get fed up with this kind of behavior really quickly
