If we know KY is getting good recruits (based on ratings, scouting reports, and hype) then we also know that Colorado and Deion are getting good recruits.
If we take the argument that Deion's recruits obviously weren't actually good (because the on-field success hasn't followed), then we also can't claim with certainty that KY's recruits are good (because we have yet to see on-court success).
My take: Both Deion and KY are getting good to great recruits. And 90+% of the time, strong recruits = strong results (and this is even more true in basketball than football).
Given that, I'd say it's fair to expect great results for BYU basketball, even if Deion and Colorado football have been an exception and have not turned strong recruiting into strong results
