I had a complete tear of my patellar tendon (stupid trampoline park and stupid me). Every time my quad involuntarily twitched , because there was no antagonist muscle fighting it and it was confused, my kneecap moved further up my leg. Doc said the length of my scar was dependent on how far it moved before the surgery and how far they had to cut to grab hold if it and pull it back down.

The injury occurred on a Monday and I was scheduled for Friday. At about 9pm Monday night, I got a call that a voluntary surgery had canceled and asked us I could be there the next morning at 5:30am. My surgery was done in under 24 hours because if their scheduling shenanigans and I have a 3 inch scar instead of a 12-20 inch scar.
