But the point is that Pope was respected and successful enough to even be in the conversation. If we'd fallen flat on our face in our first year in the B12, that definitely doesn't happen.

And part of that was Pope being significantly more successful across his entire tenure than Sitake. Even if Sitake came in this year and won 10 games, I don't think there would be much buzz around him for big time coaching positions. He'd need multiple seasons to change the narrative.
