They have to remain a Pac-X conference in order access to keep the credits, payouts and exit fees due to the Pac-12 conference. So eventually they will have to add schools back in to get up to a min of 8. I think that is also the max they will add.

If they wait for an ACC opening do they go to that Conf? Do they leave all those Pac-12 payout dues on the table if they do leave? If they go to the ACC it's because other schools have left. Does it stay a P4 conference or is it even worth being a part of? Does that ACC breakup happen after they have to rebuild a new 8-team Pac-X Conference?

Do they join the MWC? Does that allow them to keep the Pac-12 incoming payouts?

Not a lot of great options for the Pac-2 now or in the future.
