They have been confident and consistently accurate in both the 2010 Pac-10 expansion and again with the Big 12 — long before the official announcements.

Ironically, it's the cougar fan base that mocked Utah incessantly prior to the P10 invite. For some odd reason, last summer convinced themselves the Big 12 would pass on Utah.

The BIG was never an option for Utah and never will be unless both the SEC and BIG move to 46 - 50 schools. Even then, there are several factors determining who would get the invite.

Flugaur put out some interesting information recently (link below) alluding to inside information he had about Utah and BIG prospects. He was using that intel to deflate the Utah - ACC rumors, explaining Utah was on a short list.

The key here is Utah likely has a really good shot...from what the admin is hearing, if they expand past 24 schools each.

However, I personally think that's a long shot. I don't see any reason why the P2 would need to expand at all outside a few marquee brands in the ACC.
