some regards it's a great school. Not in most ways though. It's a fine university and excels in the medical world, clearly. Traditionally (I'm looking at from about the 1970's) has been fairly anti-lds professors/faculty. Not sure if that has gotten better with Taylor or not -but he is a good person as far as I can tell; and one of his brothers is a fantastic person; with no animosity to members of the LDS faith.

Anyway, hcbw and I were talking about this just a couple days ago - the U has gotten expensive and even though we haven't ever heard of anyone not being accepted there, we both figured it must happen more now than it did in our earlier lives (70's-90's), because back then a turnip could get accepted.

Also, I want to make it clear that I think their athletic teams are the SUCK. The BIG SUCK. I love it when they lose. Especially to BYU. It's a fun rivalry and I have a lot of good friends who are U fans. The football world will right itself, BYU will always be a bigger brand, U will regress to the mean (they suck), and I will ride off in the retirement sunset with my BYU gear blazing at as many away games as we can make until one glorious day - BYU fights for another National Championship and wins. And then I'll die. Happy.
