He was their lead playmaker years 1 and 2 and gave up a lot of on ball reps this year. Some was SGA just becoming a superstar, but it also became clear that Jalen Williams was better and was taking possessions too. Giddey is a good passer and has size, but he’s not a good shooter and teams left him open off the ball. His minutes and shots going down in his 3rd year is not a good sign. Neither is him dropping even further off in minutes in the playoffs. His front court touches per game went 39 to 37 to 27…some of that is minutes played but not all of it. His time spent with the ball went was cut significantly.
