You might be right…but for a bad team I think you can experiment with it
And maybe in the process he learns how to play better without the ball and turns into an actual useful player. He has good size and pg skills. Let him run your offense for a couple years while you collect lotto picks and then work on developing his shooting behind the scenes.

Was he bad? Looks like most of his numbers actually improved slightly. Maybe not enough for OKC to justify re-signing

Yeah, he also played 6 less minutes/game and took 4 less shots/game too. His shooting averages all improved slightly.
