I was a Mac user but the cost/performance ratio is abysmal
I wouldn’t rule out going back for the Apple chips and working with video, but the beast of a machine I could build for the cost of a dinky Mac is insane. Especially with the internal memory or SSD upgrades.

Dinky Macs no longer exist. The minimum you can buy new is an M2, which is very fast. As long as you get
