Lesson learned from my father many years ago I have never forgotten! Main point of my story I had a gun pointed at my face from one foot away because we had trespassed. Dad laid into me with verbal questions when he found out, when I got home because of police involvement:
1. What would have happened had the gun misfired? (Yep, died!)
2. Who would have had to identify your body? (Yep, your Mom and I)
3. What would your siblings have felt? (Yep, terribly sad)
4. Who did you think about when you made these choices? (Yep, nobody but yourself. Just totally selfish! In every way! You did not care about me, or Mom, or anybody but you! Total selfish!)
5. (You just didn’t care!)


I have never forgotten the personal attack on my selfishness from that night. If your son is not affected, have Mom be there with you.
