I would probably try and go Alpine Col and down Paiute canyon
Darwin bench is beautiful. Evolution valley is boring so you wouldn't be missing anything.

Almost to the Sierra. Still a decent amount of snow. I'm nervous for July 1st, can't imagine doing it in May/June.

The South Fork of the San Joaquin bridge was destroyed last Spring. That is where I am super nervous.
