I don’t understand management like this. Had hours similar like that 8:30-5:30 at one place. It was from someone who wasn’t a good manager and honestly glad I’m not there anymore. Even wrote people up for being late. With a few warnings ending in your termination.

I am a firm belief you shouldn’t have to micromanage your employees time. Well you should micromanage people at all.

If they are paid hourly it’s their own fault they don’t make as much. If salary who cares when they work as long as the work gets done.
