Sorry, but I don't agree with you that using the term "looks like" is a
contradictory term to stating something is irrefutable. When judging if something actually happened or didn't happen based on a still frame of a video, the final decision is still based on what the person is seeing with their eyes, what something "looks like" to them.

I was not on the field, or in the stadium, so now all I can do is look at video and pause it and make an opinion about what I am seeing.

Based on that, it's my opinion (as I don't have actual proof, nor does anyone about what absolutely happened) that a portion of the ball hit the ground. Even Jakob Robinson himself said after the game that he wasn't sure. Do I know that for a fact? No, of course not, and neither would the ref if he saw the same video while in his review of the play. But he ultimately is going to make a decision based on what the video "looks like" to him, and consider that "irrefutable".
