Two years ago I bought lower bowl seats (row 21) in September
It had been a long summer with nearly constant, daily concerns about losing my job. On September 2nd I got a new job offer and the next day I rewarded myself by purchasing lower bowl tickets. This was after the entire renewal ticketing process had been completed and with BYU coming off the very fun and amazing 2019-2020 season and being the six seed in 2020-21.

Back in 2015 I got a new job which included transferring back to Utah. One of the very first things I did was purchase basketball season tickets for the first time. While I haven't been perfect, I've been to about 90% of the games and I don't recall my tickets ever not being used by someone.

And as a student, I was just stupid crazy almost always being the first one into the arena and sitting on the front row night after night. I remember camping out by myself to watch BYU beat Utah for the first time in ages back in 2001. I remember camping out to watch girls basketball so we could get tickets to the men's game. I remember getting to the arena so early that I would just go down onto the floor and shoot hoops until the teams or security showed up. My grades sucked but I sure had a lot of fun.

Now BYU is joining the Big 12 and despite having tickets for the last seven years and joining the Cougar Club and then upgrading my membership it appears that I may not even get tickets next year.

I'm really just heartbroken and devastated by the whole process. Maybe if I'd studied harder and spent less time at the Marriott Center as a student, I could afford a bigger Cougar Club donation and get tickets today.
