Good grief, I understand that and I keep volunteering to coach & teach kids
You can stop with the "It's just rec ball" lectures. I'm well aware that not every kid is going to be a superstar, and I do my best to coach them all up and help everybody have fun, but it's a fair question for the OP to wonder why some parents continue to sign up their kids who have ZERO interest in being there.
Yes, it IS rec ball, but it shouldn't be a babysitting service.

Because it is good for kids to play on a team, work through struggles, and make friends. Rec level sports are important
