to throw in a few measurements (as it appears many are not aware of them). Note that the dates are approximate if some people get hung up on a year or two. For example, people seemed to combine the Greatest Generation to the Silent Generation a lot yesterday. People were unaware that Millennials had the largest voting block for the last few elections.
Some numbers for you. Generations with when they started voting (Edit for Baron: DON'T MISS THIS: WHEN THEY STARTED VOTING) and their current voting blocks:
Greatest - 1919 - 1 million
Silent - 1943 - 19 million
Boomer - 1964 - 70 million - full block voting in 1982
Gen X - 1983 - 66 million - full block voting in 1997
Millennial - 1998 - 72 million - full block voting in 2012
Gen Z - 2013 - 69 million
From my vantage point, it looks like we need to work together. Not optimistic it will happen.
