His biggest hope is that high academic oriented schools in the B1G and the few from the P12 all band together.
That has been his argument since day 1.
Problem is, outside of the Ivy League, and to a limited extent in the B1G, no one is realy taking that approach as the overriding factor Tony hopes that it is.

A few points here; yes, he's dumb and puts too much weight in academics...but he's an academic and that's what they do
