A few points here; yes, he's dumb and puts too much weight in academics...but he's an academic and that's what they do
And university presidents? They're all academics as well.
So it's worth seeing how he thinks and realizing that (whether or not you or I think it's stupid) that there will absolutely be some folks at high levels that have the same mindset
