I usually ask how much notice they need and try to accommodate if practical. No
need for either side to go around burning bridges.
Did you even bother to ask her if she could provide 2 weeks notice? Was 2 week notice really critical? It will still be hard to hire someone in a couple of weeks.
Now - when comments show up on-line about how this was handled - does that make it easier to hire a replacement?
