Did I read MY own post? That's got to be the funniest response I have heard
No, I didn't read my own post! I have stated in each of my posts the offense was not good, so I don't know why you seem to overlook that. The OP is stating Tuiaki gets a bad wrap when he doesn't deserve it and used the CC game as proof because the offense was so bad. Just in case you missed it, yes the offense was bad, yes the offense was bad, yes the offense was bad.
Now with that taken care of, the offense wasn't responsible for CC 3 longest scoring drives that combined for 41 plays and 21 mins of possession. Those 3 drives consisted of 33% of total game time and 60% of CC's total plays in the game. BYU's offense only scored on 30% of their possessions, now I do not know what the average for CFB would be but I am guessing it is higher than that, so the offense was bad, if they scored on 50% of their possessions, then BYU would have won comfortably, but it didn't happen.
Do you know how long BYU was behind in the game before CC scored their last TD with 11:35 left in the game? The prior 48 1/2 mins BYU was behind 3 1/2 mins, so even with the offense being bad, they at least were keeping BYU's head above water, but did not finish when it mattered the most.
This game was a collective suckatude on both sides of the ball, but saying this game is the crown jewel of why Tuiaki shouldn't get criticized for his defense is inaccurate.
