Don’t know, never been to that school. Maybe a lot of those high schoolers stay in dorms and go back to California for the holidays. But that would be unusual.

My experience in Saratoga Springs—not as elite, granted, as Highland—suggests that the overwhelming majority of students are not only from Utah, but from the neighborhoods directly surrounding the school. Almost all from two or three cities.
