maybe it's just me or the camera angle, but he looks to be less than half the height of the hoop, and when he elevates he is not getting anywhere near the rim. I'm a pretty mediocre athlete and I was about that height in 7th grade, with a 25-27 inch verticle.

At his alleged height, his standing reach should be about 7 ft 9 inches, if that is the case, he would need about 27 inches of verticle to be able to touch the rim, which is nothing special for a 7th grader that balls on a regular basis. He is clearly quicker than I was at that age, so it stands to reason that he would also jump at least as high as I could (again, I was a mediocre athlete/jumper at best).

In these highlights he rarely elevates to the point where his hands would even be half way up the net, which leads me to believe that he either has no hops at all, he doesn't use his hops at all (both not likely since he jumps in nearly every highlight), or he isn't as tall as you claim he is.

I don't mean to be overly negative, but I just don't see it.
