But out here at this age theres not a ton of structure on offense. AAU here is all about iso ball, pressing and transition buckets. Seeing the little I've seen of his cousin's AAU team in So Cal and a little bit on YouTube it seems a lot of the younger AAU teams out west are a lot more offensive strategy sound and disciplined. Not as athletic and focus a lot more on half court sets. (Which I like by the way.) I am happy he gets to play everyday with a much more diverse demographic though. Haha. I think it'll help in the long run.
He'll usually score somewhere between 12-16 pts and racks up a ton of assists and rebounds. Every 4th or 5th game he'll score over 20. His coach is trying to get him to be more aggressive but he loves a good assist as much as scoring.
His strength really though is what happens between plays. He's good at facilitating things and making good things happen with his hustle. He reminds me a lot of Kyle Collinsworth in that he stuffs the staff sheet and lives off hustle and clean up buckets a lot.
