I think we ought to cut him some slack here. I didn't watch the try outs so for all I know he could be objective and right on or maybe the way things happened were just his opinion. But either way he had the desire to go after a goal and it didn't work out(atleast the the 1st time...hint) so I'd expect him to be frustrated. It's frustrating as hades when you work hard at something and it doesn't go like you planned.
IF what you said is true cougarbart you'll run into this same problem about 3000 times when it comes to gettings jobs, assignments you given in those jobs, graduate degree applications, etc. Everybody plays favorites to one degree or another, even you. Instead of getting pissed and giving up improvise, adapt, and overcome....hoorah!! No use getting pissed at it, just get in thier ear, email them on your mish once or twice, and show them it doesn't phase you. Maybe you have to work twice as hard as the coaches son, big deal... WHEN you do get on the team you'll be that much better and might actually have a shot at PT wheras they'll never sniff it.
