A couple sincere questions...
Two chiropractors in the family and one of my best friends is a chiropractor. All three refuse to vaccinate their children, and all three have told me at different times that people don't actually need a primary care practitioner, just a chiropractor, because a chiropractor can do everything a primary care doc can (my sister had to fight to get her husband to allow her to take their infant to the pediatrician when she had an ear infection, and then fight again to be able to give the prescribed antibiotics). Maybe they are just among the crazies in the field, I don't know. However, all three are good and intelligent people, attended different schools, and shared that their positions (speaking about these two specific areas) are based on what they learned in school. I believe chiropractors have a role in providing medical care (my wife suffered pretty severe whiplash in a car accident and her chiropractor has been a lifesaver), but replacing your primary MD/DO, and discouraging vaccines? Are these things not commonly taught in chiropractor schools? If they are I believe that damages the credibility of the field in general.
