as some sort of proof, then your logic is awful. By that logic, then BYU basketball will never win an outright conference title in the WCC because they haven't done so thus far. Or any other strangely conceived example that would follow that logic.

The truth is, BYU is in a better position today they have been in the last 7 years, and possibly in the history of the school (given the current makeup of CFB and conferences). The B12 is probably at their weakest position in the history of the conference. Mix those two things together and there is a great chance something happens.

To discount the possibility altogether based on your logic is not very intelligent, you are not taking into account the current/recent environment.

I do however agree that we as fans need to support the CC, all home games, and as many away games as is feasible. I certainly hope we get an invite, but I don't spend time wasting away reading articles. But I do have a reasonable amount of factual hope!
