The fans are not going to start buying tickets in mass so that good things happen. The program needs to make good things happen to make the fans want to buy tickets. (IE, the exposure and decent home schedule that comes from being in a major conference). The status quo will result in dwindling interest and no amount of pleading of the fans will change that.

I went to the Fresno home game last year and it felt like a glorified high school game. Nobody cares if you are not part of the party.
