I still think they might expand, and I still think they might include BYU.
On the other hand, I think they could also remain unchanged, or, if they do expand, I think that they could not include BYU as well.
Here's the reasons I think they could expand and include BYU:
- Many in the Big 12 understand that they have both an image issue and vulnerability issues at only 10 teams. They need to strengthen themselves, or continue to fall behind.
- BYU is by far the best candidate out there and is a net plus addition to the conference (overall superior to many of the teams already in the conference).
Here's the reasons I can think otherwise:
What they have done does not necessarily equate to what they will do, I don't believe that's the best metric. The environment has changed around them: they may expand, and they may not.
