No, I understand the point, perhaps better than you do. You are, in fact,
arguing that it's time for a regime change at BYU and that the only high profile candidates are those listed. None of those listed are good or even possible choices, which means that you are, in fact, arguing that (1) Bronco should be fired, and (2) some unknown JC or HS coach should be hired. That's fine if that's the argument you want to make, but I think it's a silly argument.
I agree with you that there are diamonds in the rough out there and good coaches who aren't proven. But BYU is not a MAC or FCS school. You don't get the keys to the BYU job by fielding some good high school teams, at least not unless we're desperate. And a team whose coach has winning records and no violations should not consider itself desperate.
