Maybe there's some unheralded High School or JC LDS head coach who's about to set the coaching world on fire. Someone we obviously haven't heard of. They're just waiting to take that next step. All the great coaches have to start somewhere, and that somewhere is usually a lowly high school or JC gig. Lavell started as a high school coach at Granite High School. He was on nobody's radar before he came to BYU. Urban Meyer coached at Bowling Green before Utah and nobody knew who he was before the Utes took a chance on him. There are other lesser-known options out there. The next head coach doesn't necessarily have to be a high-profile celebrity.
