I've personally seen several influencers try this route ("Hi, I'm a mommy influencer and I'm so excited to launch my prenatal gummy line" or "I'm a fitness influencer, and this is my new line of supplements") and it turns followers off.
We want to feel like your friends, not be treated like a captive audience of loyal, thoughtless buyers.
