I think for a big board that lasts, they are generally pretty pricey.

Jk Adams is great. I've had one for more than ten years now. (I got mine cheap during a store liquidation sale)

Boos is another popular brand.

Whatever you get, be sure to maintain it well (mineral oil etc to keep it from drying out)

Hardwood. Love my teak Shumaru cutting board. Very solid and good on knives.

The 24x16 bbq board is only $140 - that's a pretty good size and lasts forever

Boos is the big name in that space. I have one from Catskill that's great. Go end grain wood for sure if you can.
