Ego is the killer of gainz! It will take more reps to get close to failure with
lighter weight, but there's no shame in that. Or you don't have to go full depth if you experience pain. Half squats are better than no squats, IMO.

My argument for doing 3 workouts/week is that you can have more intensity for 4-5 exercises in a session than for 8 exercises. More intensity = more muscle growth.
