Ever since Grimes left following the 2020 season, there has been a sharp decline in all TE production. And the assertion by some here on CB that all the TE's are terrible is laughable. BYU probably has the most talent at that position this current season than it's ever had.
As for how Holker left the program, I don't disagree with you that it was a bit juvenile, however, everyone manifests their frustrations differently. You have to realize that these kids have been playing football essentially their entire lives, and they have a small window during college to catch the attention of NFL scouts to achieve their dreams.
While Holker didnt necessarily handle it the best, I can understand his frustrations, especially how he became the best receiving TE in the nation, and he knew he had that in him.
In the end, Im happy for him as he's on an NFL roster as we speak, which likely isnt the case had he stuck around at BYU under Arod's system.
