middle. He can throw deep over the middle but where the TE usually works is say 5-10 yards down the middle and so the pass doesn't have much height on it.
In the Houston game we tried a couple of times with the OL diving at the legs of the DL to get them off their feet, ended up flopping and passes were still batted down as the DL saw this and didn't go down.
Hard to get a TE when your QB can't find passing lanes or figure out how to pass over the OL/DL on short routes.
