The plan Utah set in motion by naming Scalley as the coach in waiting only works
if Whitt has a strong final season as the HC. Recruits are excited, their is a feeling of continuity of excellence, etc.
However, if Whitt leaves at then end of this year, then recruits are going to bail and Utah will be in for a protracted period of subordination to BYU. This is a really bad time for Utah to be bad.
