I don't believe so, but I can check on that, I have the tallest garage in the world for some reason, I'm going to need
to find a massive ladder ha ha.

Reset the circuit breakers to see if that helps

Most garage door openers have a little wire for the antenna.. if you have one, find it and move it.

yep its likely a signal issue

The wired button on the wall experiences the same issue though

that's weird

99% of 'remote' issues are signal (antenna) and Battery (not enough signal power)

There is usually a light that flashes when something is wrong. The number of times it flashes will indicate the problem

I don't see any flashing ever, I know what you mean, like if something is in the way of the safety laser you get

Small flashing light on mine is on the electronic control board--not the larger exterior light

Is that on the motor unit itself or on the wall mounted button interface? (Control board)

May sound funny, but have you tried changing the lightbulbs? This guy says it matters.

Now that I think of it, I believe the light is burned out and has been since we bought the home, it's so high up that

Do you use LED bulbs in it? Those can cause issues sometimes

You need a massive ladder to reach the opener? How tall is your garage door?
cheezedawg

Garage door is about 10 feet high, garage ceiling is probably 15 feet up or so, it's nuts

Just curious- what style is the opener? The types I am familiar with are either wall mounted or they hang right above

It hangs above the door track, to be clear the only reason I will need a big ladder is because my dang garage is so high

Do you have motion detector lights?

No, we don't. This wasn't an issue about 4 months ago, it started here and there and now is getting worse

When I get home from work this evening I'll try and post some pics of the set-up

If I had to guess, because it is the same issue with both wired and wireless

I have the same issue with mine when the sunlight is very bright and from a specific angle, based on time of day
