My mom, dad, two sisters, niece, an aunt, sister in law, etc. All of them stopping going to the gym, eat like crap, but are all down 30 pounds. Many of them have weird side effects, including diarrehea all the time. (My mom stayed with us recently and was up during the night each night in the bathroom and crazy tired the next day).
The biggest side effect that I've noticed is psychological. My sisters - who used to be "normal" body types - now think they walk on water because they are skinny, and scoff at other "normal" size girl bods. Its created a hyper-focus on unrealistic body expectations, especially for young girls. And I'm a dad to 4 girls so you can tell I'm pretty annoyed by it.
I don't think taking Ozempic + no cardio + eating whatever you want is a good combo for a healthy life. And that's what my whole family is doing. I love what RFK & Casey Means are preaching right now about eating better. This Tucker Carlson interview with Casey was pretty awesome:
