I agree with most of what you said with a couple of caveats:
1. Diet quality still matters. So while going on one of these drugs and losing weight is way better than being obese, it’s still suboptimal if the person is eating the same crap food, only less of it (things like protein, fiber, and micronutrients still matter).

2. Cardio is still worth doing as it provides many benefits outside of weight control. For example, having a high VO2 max is more strongly correlated to longevity than even body composition. That being said, a person doing only resistance exercise is going to have a better VO2 max than if they didn’t work out at all. And if someone feels like they only have time for one type of exercise, they’re better off biasing toward resistance training.

Granted, these are relatively minor points in the big picture context. As the saying goes, “don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.”
