needed has been an issue with Roderick. One thing I’ve also noticed is it doesn’t really seem to be unique to Roderick. Utah did the same thing a few times against Arizona.
Ludwig has been an OC a long time under some good coaches who are dedicated to winning. I find it challenging to believe these long time coaches run those plays in certain situations just because they’re really too stubborn or uneducated on the game after all these years of coaching.
Yes we can point out times the plays fail. I would still like to hear a coach directly explain their reasoning for the play call and break down what they wanted to happen vs what ended up happening.
I don’t think a play call being good or bad comes down to whether or not it works. Even slow developing runs with medium or long yardage to gain can work.
