with players as a coach, and I coach a lot because I am tired of dealing with the bad coaches that think they can relive their glory days, or coaches who are clueless and let their kids help coach who are equally clueless.
I sign my kids up for rec sports to learn some skills and have fun participating, but in Utah, now that I live here, they don’t get either any training or reasonable playing time. And half the time, in rec, some random mom signs up to coach and the first email to the team is that they are a random mom with no understanding of the game they just agreed to coach, so I end up telling the lady I will coach if she will handle all the game snacks responsibilities.
