We need more empathy for the current generation
When I graduated from BYU twenty five years ago I was making $24,500 on a single family income with one kid and another on the way. We had almost no savings and yet we easily bought our first home paying $120,000 for a 3 bed 2 and a half bath, two car garage, single family starter home in EM. With a FHA program my mortgage was payment was just over $800.

When we sold we made a decent profit and transferred that into our next, and have repeated until getting in into our current home.

This opportunity seems like a pipe dream for the current generation. There's no point of entry into the housing market. I don't blame this upcoming generation for being lazy or complaining. It truly is difficult situation.
