IMO, Boston didn't win because they had a superstar or two carrying the team. They won because they have solid starters and depth behind them. They only got over the hump when they added a couple of older players (White, Porzingis and Holiday) to the mix. Those three are not exactly star players and can be found without mortgaging the future.
I trust Ainge has a good plan. I expect they'll still make some moves and extend Markkanen. I don't think the Jazz are a lottery team. That's where I disagree with most on this board. Yes, the Jazz lost 25 of their last 30 games but they were also playing rookies and other bench players against teams fighting for playoff seeding. The Jazz starters sat out for most of those games.
There are still a few players that Ainge might go after that could help the Jazz. Not saying he will, but these could help the Jazz without breaking the bank.
