I would just move on. Going above the hotel comp and medical bills
would likely require an attorney with a lawsuit. If it were me I’d avoid the hassle and drama of getting more than you got and move on with my life.

The family obviously didn’t think it was risk even though they knew it was damaged. They still chose to use the shower.
