Announcing the inter generational business ideas competition:
The assignment is a problem of financial engineering: find inspiration in social security, Medicare, securitisation of long term financial products, other existing guaranteed benefit or escalating/ratcheting benefit programs, 30- year mortgages or other similar innovations —
Suggest one more effective tool to transfer wealth from future generations to the financial* benefit of your generation than what Boomers pulled off.
For extra credit
Design a mechanism to clawback or take away wealth from prior generations to the financial* benefit of future generations.
*no credit for suggestions relying on “values” or “moral improvement” or other religious, spiritual, political etc concepts. Just focus on wealth transfer. No credit for simplistic, undisguised, or direct “taxes” — only for indirect taxes.
Do not admit that boomers are shrewder than you!!
