She says the players brought it up. Hartwell doesn’t recall if she brought it
Up but someone did because he wrote it in his notes. You are picking and choosing what she said and taking it as the truth.

She does admit saying “Utah/cache valley is an interesting place to live” and that “cache valley is not inclusive”. She adamantly states that her statements had nothing to do with the LDS church but in the same breath noted “that the demographics of the rural, Cache Valley area are predominately white and LDS.”

Bottom line, it’s a case of he said she said. Interestingly, the majority remember things going down one way and she’s on the other side remembering it another way.

Even if she didn’t bring up religion or ethnicity first, she should have never even discussed it or even acknowledge it. She clearly discussed it.

She’s a PR disaster. She and Hartwell should have listened and said “thank you for your feedback. We have conducted a thorough search and selected the best candidate that models the values of our university and football program.”
