I treated a soccer player with a high grade Lisfranc injury this year

It was read as a complete on the MRI. She played on it for two games before finally saying it hurt too much. Ultrasound ultimately showed some intact dorsal fibers so it did have some integrity. But I’ve seen people play with ACL tears and Lisfranc tears. They aren’t all the same.

What’s your profession? I’m a sports medicine doctor who treats 100% musculoskeletal injuries. I’ve covered sidelines for high school, collegiate and professional sports for 18 years.
